ABOUT THE JOURNO

Ciao! My name is Gabrielle Dixon and I'm a 25-year-old freelance journalist living in London.

I write about sex and sexuality, subcultures, and music, amongst other topics. I've relaunched the Women in Journalism Instagram, written for LGBTQ+ and sex work charities, and planned the LCC summer talks series for journalism and publishing students. I've just released my podcast Aurotic: Ethical ASMR Porn, and I’m working on episode 3 of The Genre Tapes (genre hint: it's MASSIVE). I’m also a copywriter that’s written makeup manuals, in-flight magazines, and B2B decks for brands like Jecca Blac and A Box of Stories. I’m currently freelancing on a regular basis for Viaduct Generation, working on SEO driven blog posts for their clients.

I have recently graduated with a distinction from my MA in Arts and Lifestyle at UAL LCC, and studied for my undergraduate in English and Media at Goldsmiths, UOL.

In my free time I'm a sporty gal who plays guitar, is learning to DJ, drinks really good wine, and reads roughly a book a week. You can check what I'm reading on my bookstagram @gabes.reads! I'm also a creative writer who's been published in the latest version of the Sapphic Writer's magazine
